Emma Nicholson MEP, European Liberal Democrats
Work
Office location
I have attempted to set up an office in the region on three occasions. However, due to the fast-paced nature of our work, I have found that the most effective way of working is on the move and on mission using the best technical support available.
I always have a member of staff with me to continue the flow of work. My experience is that a regional office slows down this flow, largely because the region is so huge, spanning Dover to Middlesex and including nine counties. Therefore email, post and personal face-to-face contacts are the most efficient way to tackle the massive workload. This is the standard way of work for most MEPs.
